Member grade is awarded to individuals who have a degree in physics, or a cognate subject, or a qualifying scientific apprenticeship.
Member grade is the second of three grades of membership which the Institute of Physics can award in recognition of an individuals achievements in Physics.
Cognate subjects include: Chemistry, Mathematics, Engineering (all subject similar related), Medical Physics, Astronomy and Materials.
Other degrees will be considered - please liaise with the Membership team for guidance.
