Wind Resource Assessment for Programmers

This intensive three-week course equips participants with practical Python programming skills for modern wind resource assessment. Through self-paced modules and live sessions, participants learn to process, analyse, and visualise wind data using xarray and geopandas, and to run full numerical assessments with DTU Wind Energy's WindKit, PyWAsP, and PyWake libraries. The curriculum spans wind data and climates, terrain and GIS, flow modelling with WAsP, wake modelling, and AEP estimation with losses and uncertainty quantification, culminating in validation and professional reporting.
